Tattoos
A tattoo,
You can have it in black or coloured,
It sends a message,
It is considered cool,
You are considered a fool,
Isn't it beautiful?
A tattoo,
It can be hidden,
It can be shown to the world,
In certain careers it is accepted,
In others it is scorned,
Isn't it beautiful?
A tattoo,
It makes you tough,
It makes you cry going through an MRI,
When you are young it looks great,
When you are old it is wrinkled,
Isn't it beautiful?
Silent Torment
He woke up this morning, got out of bed and walked straight to the mirror. He looked like your everyday guy, in a pair of boxers with messy morning hair. The only thing that probably 40% of all kids, cats, dogs and adults have in common with him would be the bruise marks all over his body. They were turning dark purple now. There was a huge mark on the side of his right rib cage, reaching down he pocked it, only to wince with pain. He turned around to see his back, which was riddled with cut marks; some healed and others fresh. He turned back around and looked at his arms and legs, and a vicious smile formed on his face as a

It's starting again. Heart rate elevating, breathing quickening and the hand trembling. Gotta run, gotta hide. Shit everyone is going to see. Tuck them in your pocket, do it, quick! Smile, laugh, pretend, pretend, pretend. Ok they looked away, excuse yourself calmly. Walk calmly to the washroom. Turn this corner calmly and casually. Now run! Ok no one's in the room. Get in the stall and take the damn pill!

She prayed and hoped that tomorrow never came. Sitting in the darkness in a small cage made her pity the animals trapped like her. She sat in the center, fearful of what might grab her if she was too close to the cell bars. Shouting and yelling were a pointless exercise, fear a constant push. A light appeared somewhere in the distance, but a figure blocked most of the light. Her eyes shut and started to tear from the pain the brief light caused. Footsteps could be heard now. They were sure footed, confident and resonated across the cemented floor. It looked like tomorrow wasn't going to come.

When You Think You're Broken
In those dark days words were poison to me. Every day I had to watch the person I cared for the most be a willing slave. A dog that follows his master willingly, doing whatever was commanded of him. A change had come over him. He did not seem to be able to hold his own. No longer was he mysterious and aloof, he had changed for sure. I no longer recognized him. I knew him once this man I fell in love with. But her wicked heart infected his like the plague on an innocent town. He was no longer a man in my eyes. His rejections were done over emails. What kind of coward did that to a girl even one he didn't li
Tree House
The wind is already howling,
The breeze picking its speed up to challenge the unyielding trees,
Gazing out there is barely any light,
Only the stars offer sanctuary,
But they are eternally out of reach,
Far off into the distance a creature cries to the full moon,
Stranger sounds are heard now,
The scratching on bark,
The entire world seemed terrifying,
The only protection is a four walled house far above the ground.
Ode To Big Bang
Ode to Big Bang
Their blaring music
Their soothing tones
Ode to their performances
The bedazzling lights that hit the stage
The speakers booming
Ode to their dancing
Even more spectacular up close
The energy that is felt as they stomp the stage
Ode to the greatest show on Earth
The tangible idols

The "Hug Woman" In India
Down the street and to the left,
A woman sits and hums,
Long is the tune in her hums forgotten,
Ordinary she seems,
Smiling of those who pass,
Even the ungrateful,
A man passes by and is teary eyed,
She gets up from her stool,
Steps in front of him,
She waits for him to notice her,
He pauses looking at her with eyes haunted and hurt,
She opens her arms,
He looks baffled and then chokes a sob out,
And walks into her embrace,
She has done this many times,
Especially to those who need it most,
She is the Hug Woman of India.
Will Someone
Will someone come and tell me that everything's going to be ok?
Will someone come save me from this loneliness?
Will someone come tell me that all that I have done wrong will be forgiven?
Will someone come tell me that all I have to do is cry on their shoulders and they'll make it better?
Will there be someone who will tell me that all the flaws in the world that I have done are perfection?
Will someone come up to me breathless and tell me that they couldn't live without me, that every sunrise and sunset without me was torture, that every beautiful, happy thing in their life was meaningless without me there to show it to?
State Of Mind
She was walking down the hallway when she heard a noise. She stopped and turned to see him there, standing in the hallway just a few feet away with all his bravado. A smile spread across her face only to disappear when she saw what was in his hand. She grew solemn. They had argued a lot and a strange thing just suddenly came to mind, whoever said sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me must've been deaf. He took a step closer, she didn't even flinch. She had known this day was coming, so why didn't she prepare for it, planned for an escape, a way to protect herself. Faith, trust and pixie dust.
